I ordered this book because, while browsing Goodreads, I read a few quotes from it that made it sound interesting. Oh, to be so wrong!
I cannot explain enough how atrocious the writing is! It's completely amateurish.
It's like it was written by a fourteen year old girl who loves bad poetry. I assume the author considers her prose to be beautiful and flowing, but she'd be wrong. Way overuse of adjectives to describe the simplest things, and multiple adverbs in every single sentence make this book a total mess.
It is almost painful to read, the massive logjam of useless words just stagnates the flow of the plot.
The characters are unreal, the dialog ridiculous. It's just too bad, because somewhere in there, buried deep underneath the bad writing, is a decent story idea.
Did the author not have a single friend or Beta reader AT ALL, who could have read it before she published, and told her: "This is really bad?" I hate to do this to any author. I hate to give one-star reviews, but I could not find any redeeming quality in this book.

Simona wrote a guilty pleasure of long form gothic metaphor. It’s whole purpose seemed to allow the reader to intentionally get lost in a gothic embellishment of meta-reflection and simplistic overstatement. If this is what you want to spend time doing you may enjoy it like I did. It’s a tourtured tale of tragic tangent tropes. My favorite quote, “Everybody is equally weak on the inside, just that some present their ruins as new castles and become kings—“ You’ll either love it or hate it. It is no tepid tred— one which will bleed out one pulse at a time to the end. See... that’s fun.
