Okay I think I may have found a new series to be obsessed about.

I LOVE this book. I have one minor gripe though, hence the 4.5 star rating. Though I loved the world building here, the set up for each brothers' character, and the whole plot/point of why we are reading about these people; I wasn't all that in love with the couple.

Keegan & Brynn. Though I totally love these two as individuals, and they did have some touching, hot moments together, I just couldn't fully get behind them as a couple. I don't know. I can't put my finger on it. But it was just something about these two that didn't completely blow my mind together. Something was missing. They showed promise at the beginning and even had a few flashes of hope for me as the story progressed. But in the end they just couldn't completely close the deal for me as a couple. But I love them.

I also fell in love with this world. The plot. Everything. The execution of it was flawless, IMO. I could not & did not want to put this book down basically.

The other brothers, I totally love as well. Taeg, Ronin & Dagan. Though I'm anxious to see how all their stories play out with the continuation of the plot, I will say I'm more eager to get to know Dagan & Ronin ALOT more.

I hope this is a series that only gets better with each book.
This was certainly a beyond promising, just awesome intro to this series. Though there is a continuation of the plot, there is no cliffhanger in this book. And there is an HEA for the main couple.

I HIGHLY recommend this read.

I don't care what other reviews say, this book was great sure Keegan was battling with his conscious on whether to love or kill after all he was sent to find the one demon who is out to takeover the world with the book of the dead and bring him to justice and then kill the heir who can read the book and bring forth a army of zombies,the one woman he believed he could love.Brynn a woman with her own secrets of abilities she hides from others until absolutely needed, when Keegan kidnaps Brynn she tries to use her magic against him and then nothing it doesn't work him or his brothers. As the story goes on I found I didn't want to put it down and kept me on the edge of my seat. This is a fantastic read I would recommend it to all my friends.
I think this is a wonderful book. It has angels, demons, faeries, and intergalactic policies. Keegan and his brothers must find the heir to a horrible book that could bring about the apocalypse. There's only several things wrong with that. A) Keegan is falling for Bryn, the heir. B) his father is after Bryn to control the book. C) the intergalactic council has ordered Bryn's death. What's a half demon to do. Can he and his halfbrothers, who are also half demon, save both Bryn and the human world from his father's psychopathic dreams? This book is just a wonderful way to read away the day with hot love, hotter sex, and a hot guy.
Blood of a Demon by Rosalie Lark is a romantic mixture of contemporary fantasy and paranormal adventure. The first book centers on the oldest of four brothers, Keegan. He has been ordered to kill a spunky but innocent artist named Brynn. Since this is a romance, obviously that order is not happening. Instead, there is an antagonist that must be vanquished and a world that must be saved. Along the way, there is also lots of chemistry and passion to be explored between the protagonist lovers.

Be aware that this is R rated, but the writing is good, as is the editing. The lovers story in this book is complete but with one secondary issue left unresolved and ready for another brother to address. All in all this is an exciting page-turner.
My thoughts
I enjoy Rosalie Lario's books and was once again pleased. Blood of the Demon was a wonderful read. I fell for the characters on the first page and couldn't wait to find out where the plot would take them. The storyline keeps you interested and on the edge of your seat; and the characters are created with enough depth that it was easy to become emotionally invested in the outcome of the story.

It is hard to describe what each person will see in or take from a story...in this book I saw responsiblity, duty, brotherly love, devotion, honor, friendship, desire, fear, hatred, injustice, betrayal, pain, loss, hope and love.

The complexity of the characters relationships to each other is one of the most intriguing aspects of this story. It leaves the reader (well, me anyway) wondering about the way we live our own lives. Do we live in the moment? Do we plan for the future? What would we willing give for the ones we love the most?

I am always looking for that story that hooks me from the start, leaves me hoping for that perfect ending, and keeps me struggling to put the book down when I should be doing something other than reading. I found that again in this series.

I read purely for entertainment. I had a friend ask me once, "What have you read lately that was profound?" I wasn't sure how to reply. I don't look for anything profound to read - I look for something that is entertaining and interesting. It strikes me now, as I am writing my thoughts of this book, that most of the time - I find more than I am looking for, and the profoundness (if there is such a thing) is in how the story makes me feel or view myself and my world.
