Fated LoversThis third book in the Midnight Oasis series is another great story of a loving relationship that comes together on a BDSM cruise. However, it is also a mystery which works itself out in an interesting way.
The key characters, Dulcinea and Jackson, are intelligent and likable characters from different backgrounds – he is a dominant, and a football player – she is a designer and has temporarily lost her sight in an accident – and has found that she enjoys being a submissive. How they come together and move toward their HEA is fun to read – and the descriptions of fascinating tourist spots on the Arabian peninsula add some really nice color to the story.

I read this book as a standalone and felt like I missed out on a lot of the story. There were so many new characters in the beginning it was hard to keep up. I'm sure if I had read the previous books I would have had a much better idea of what was going on. With that being said, I still enjoyed the story. Dulcinea and Jackson made for a very likeable couple. The romance was sweet and the action adventure side of the story really helped move the story along. This one definitely left me wanting to go back and read the previous books in the series.

This was the first in this series that I have read & while it wasn't strictly necessary to read the previous stories I felt that my enjoyment definitely lacked because of that. It was a good story with an unusual pair of characters. Jackson, especially, I felt was a wonderful character. However, there were just too many characters for me to completely enjoy this as a standalone, especially when they play such important parts in the storyline. The ending I found a bit confusing, again, maybe because I hadn't read the other books. Overall though, forgetting everything but the relationship between Dulcinea & Jackson, made this story worth it. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.

With the love and support of her friends she embarks on a holiday on the Black Diamond,the lastest BDSM ship.Dulcie has personal challenges to overcome but always remains cheerful and positive.
Jackson Blackhawk has not forgotten his first encounter with the beautiful women and cant believe his luck when he runs into her again on the Black Diamond.Jackson is also going through his own health issues.Dulcie encounters danger,mystery,evil and secrets.Good wins over evil and Dulcie finds love with Jackson and brothers she did not know she had.The author has a ability to tell a story that keeps you captivated until the very end and still wanting more.

After a tearful visit to her lawyer's office, Dulcinea discovers that her mother has left her a large inheritance. Upset, she walks out into the street, where Jackson almost hits her with his car. Seeing that she is unhurt, he asks her out, but manages to insult her and is summarily rejected. Of course, they both end up on the Black Diamond's inaugural cruise, and it turns out that they have mutual friends. But Didi's life has changed drastically since their first meeting - she was blinded in a car accident, although the doctors believe she will regain her sight. Nevertheless, Jackson pursues her. This is my favorite of the three Midnight Oasis books. The characters have even more depth, and the plot has more twists. Danger, mystery, and steamy romance keep the reader entertained. As with the first two books, there is little discipline, but there is certainly no shortage of sex. The book flows well and is easy to read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
I have all three books and love them. Please make us all happy and get to work on the next one soon.
The final book in this series is as good as the other two. The author has taken the third BDSM ship to Dubai, introducing some new characters and bringing back others. Declines and Jackson meet briefly on a NY street, but their story begins on the Black Diamond. Adding in her red wrist band and her handicap, Jackson knows getting her to submit to him will be a challenge he is definitely looking forward to. However, when Samuel Romanoff shows an interest in Didi, Jackson is determined to be the only one she submits to.
Sorry to see thus series end, but I look forward to reading more books from this author.
I loved this book as much as I loved the first 2. The characters in all three books were just fantastic together. The story was fantastic too, I had a hard time putting it down. I would love to read more books like this by Jill Shannon.
